  • An EV Conversion swaps a combustion engine to an electric motor and battery.

  • Like any good restoration or car build, there are a lot of build choices that impact this. Generally a conversion can be achieved starting around 20k and up depending on range, speed, and who is doing the work.

  • Yes. But depending on what you are starting with, there might be tradeoffs in space, range, or budget. We can help you understand what makes a good candidate.

My brother came to visit so we took him and his wife for a little ride into Haleiwa town!
It's been a while so here's an overview of where our FrontiEV build is today. The interior is buttoned up and all wire leads for Arduino control of dash and HVAC are in place. Nothing has changed in the engine bay or bed, but we take a look anyway! Code and control work! Bench test has the relays for each heater element open and close with the potentiometer being controlled by the dash temp dial. These relays will in turn drive the heavy duty 12v 80amp relays. Given the low power available from the Arduino and the possibility of 8 separate relays closed at once, we will be feeding separate 5v line to the relay board. Getting controls assembled for the heater. We've removed the whole control assembly and have attached a sliding potentiometer from @dfrobot_official. We're using some insulation trimmings glued to the sliding cable actuator to connect the pot. Physi
